Chair the MARDI ICT Steering Committee Meetings and report directly to the Director General of MARDI.

Lead matters related to digital technology, data infrastructure, data governance, data analytics, digital literacy, open data, and smart technologies.

Lead and involve MARDI in government initiatives to develop and implement ICT projects that drive transformation in MARDI’s management and administration.

Drive transformation as outlined in MARDI’s ICT Strategic Plan (ISP), which contains planning for ICT usage to support the achievement of MARDI’s goals.

Implement ICT policies, standards, and best practices.

Streamline and integrate cross-functional processes between divisions/departments/agencies to deliver more efficient and effective services.

Set the direction for ICT innovation and utilization through robust and secure ICT applications and infrastructure, based on modular features, connectivity, interoperability, portability, and cost-effectiveness.

Promote effective and aligned use of ICT to achieve MARDI’s strategic objectives and act as an agent and pioneer of change (champion of change).

Ensure ICT security requirements are implemented and enforced.

Encourage information sharing and provide electronic methods of information dissemination to authorized users, both within and outside of MARDI.

All CDOs will report on the implementation and progress of digital transformation to the Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN)/Secretary-General of the Ministry (KSU).
